There are absolutely no reports of the game ever coming to XBOX. And that's cause it never will sadly for XBOX owners.

Dont know what your talking about. But whoever wrote that article is incorrect. Just because its coming to PS2 doesnt mean xbox will get it. Also its unlikely, because xbox sold like a lead balloon in Japan. But no where is it listed in Capcom's web site or any other saying RE4 will be coming to xbox.

Right lets get this straight! Resident Evil 4 is only coming out on the Game Cube. That is a fact. Nintendo and Capcom made a deal years ago which meant it is exclusive to Nintendo!

Well on paper the only game to undergo an official paper agreement was Resident Evil 4. The others were dubbed exclusives but not legally.

Capcom will not release Re4 on any thing but the Game Cube. They would be sued out of their faces.

If there was an Xbox version it would have been announced at the time time as the PS2 version.
The only reason it can be on another platform is if the agreement Capcom signed was to have the previous games, and any sequels to the games in the main series, to be released on the GC. And if this deal was subject to a timeframe, which it appears it is. Now that the timeframe is over, Capcom are free to release it on any platform they choose

But you fail to see that the Time Frame for a game release normally occurs once a game has been released!

As the PS2 is older than the world it would not be able to cope with the high demand RE4 requires. IT was designed around GC architecture. Also it wont come out on Xbox because Capcom hates Microsoft.

Well said, trugamer. Yes though as far as sales go for xbox in japan it bombed but it's not stopping anyone from buying it or making games for it. It still is a powerful system, PS2 sold most because it's also been out the longest and gamecube is finally turning twoards it's mature gamers. I dont think one system is better than another and indeed I do own them all. So get the best of everything and have all of them!

All I can say is that Resident Evil 4 will definalty be released on the Xbox. Xbox would have to buy the game. Nintendo payed a lot of money for Resident Evil I heard, I don't think Xbox will do the same.

Ok you guys arte just blaabing about the RE4 not being able ti hit the shelves in the PS2 because it's grafically inferior, well reality check you guys are talking nonsense the PS2 is vastly more advanced grafically than GC, it can display up to 24 Million (with a slower video card than GC) Poligons per second when GC can only display 12 million, also the PS2 has more hardware effects than the GC, the only thing that the GC surpases PS2 is in sound channels, but the experince of the programmers is greater in GC, surely ITS OFFICIAL in Capcoms own page acclaims that RE4 WILL BE FOR PS2, but they will wait for december because of the exclusiveness contract, wich expires by november 2005, They claim that the PS2 version will have its severe differences (for good +) with the GC version. Check the web and see for yourselves that it TRUE. In any case I have both a PS2 and a GC so I dont really matter wich one will hit the shelves first CUZ IM BUYING BOTH... :-)

And Soooory for XBox users (I Sold Mine), but RESIDENT EVIL 4 wont come out in XBox because of its low sales, the most buyed Game console in the wold is the PLAYSTATION 2. So that's why its gonna come there after the GameCube version.

Yeah Yeah, Re4 defently will be for both the PS2 and Gc. I agree with that. But there are some games out there that are GC exclusives and such. Look at Konami/Silicon Knights release, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. Remake of the original whihc was released in 98 on the PLaystation and Konami's Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for the PS2. There still on the GameCube. Look at X-Box's exclusive, The Halo series, even though I think it sucks because they were made by Microsoft and is a space first person. Don't ask whatim getting at, just mumbling incoherantly. Oh I heard a rumor going around that the creator of Resident Evil is going to stop with the RE series and saying RE4 will be the last. I would like to say, The only people in my school with XBoxes are jocks and preps. The Halo series sucks, it is just another FPS game (Nothing special, I hate jocks and preps, Bill gates does not need any more money, He should have never made XBox, he makes enough off of what he does for computers, RE4 will come out for PS2 but not for XBox, Microsoft bought out Rockstar so they could put the GTA games on their crappy system, PS2 is equal or a SMALL BIT less supirior then the cube (Gamecube came out later, so therefore got SLIGHTLY beter technology) I am a nintendo fan but not a nintendo fanboy, and i own a Gamecube and will own a PS2 soon enough (I may like nintendo a lot, but i still like some ps2 exclusives, like gungrave)

PS2 pulls their damn hair out every single time Nintendo does something good, and they try everything within their power to port the game to their system, instead of taking the time to develop original franchises that prosper like Nintendo does.

PS2 is the best selling console out (and I have a Gamecube only!). The PS3 is a dead cert (its dead in the water? Someone is mad). If console exclusives remained exclusive then I'd have to own a Playstation to play Resi 2 and 3. Resi 4 going to the PS2 is a bitter pill to swallow for us GC owners as we have received bugger all as compensation - but then the PS2 is making big bucks compared to the GC. On the controller front - it just looks too weird to be usable, I'd probably have it as an ornament rather than try to use it!

Yeah well sorry to Game Cube Fans, Resident Evil 4 will release for the PS2 just towards the end of this year which i say is a smart move by capcom because there's a hell of a lot more Resident Evil fans of the original series who moved on with PS2, thus capcom will make a lot more money from this. Though i own a GC myself but im justsaying it's a smart money making decision by capcom and as for the controller i couldent see myself using it looks to strange to handle but does like quite detailed and evil hehe
